Highlights of 2011.
JANUARY… I found myself reckless and desperate. I can’t make heads or tails of what happened one day in January. The last person I’d expect to see came right before my eyes. Or so I thought? I don’t know if it’s really him or just somebody who looks like him. But there’s a part of me saying it is really my father. Heck, I was close to believing Japan is five steps away from the Philippines. Uh, I don’t want to delve further into it.
FEBRUARY… (1) Our block had an exposure trip in Mowel Fund Institute and ABS-CBN. Part 1 & Part 2 (2) I became the representative of our block in a pageant held annually: the Mr. and Ms. AB Communication. Fortunately, I won together with my partner. Total shocker. Click here. (3) This month too, I became a part of the gang that I’ve always been proud of: ze Dough Eight! The gang.
MARCH… I said goodbye to freedom.
APRIL… (1) I was letting go and it wasn’t enough for that person to see it. I tried harder. (2)I witnessed Bruno Mars’ concert in Manila together with my dearest friend, Jojo. Doo-Wops and Hooligans album tour. (3)This blog of mine turned one year.
MAY… (1) My high school classmates had a summer outing and it was a blast. Click here. (2) I attended the Cavite Tumblr meet-up and realized I’m not really for big meet-ups. (3) I learned how to drive. Primera, segunda, tricera…
JUNE… Mr. Atom Araullo was our professor in Intro to Journalism for one whole semester. Click here.
JULY… I was anticipating for a second chance after turning down that opportunity last year. Nothing happened with that and just led me to giving up. Here comes the karma of the past I’ve been trying to avoid in every conversation: second chance is not for me after all. Maybe it’s easy to say, I could have tried harder, but no. Past is past but still, it matters. And that’s it. Period. On a brighter note, it dawned on me that it is never too late to take on a different path, the path where the good things are taken. (still keeping my hopes up for this one until now)
AUGUST… (1) The confrontation happened between the gang and finally, we were able to fix all the problems that is trying to break us all apart. (2) I joined the block’s cultural presentation and we didn’t win but yeah, we had fun. (3) I attended the ICCS Convention on Media Communication held at Ateneo de Manila University. (4) I received an early birthday present from Mom: a laptop! I named him Colossus and he has been really beneficial to me. Click here
SEPTEMBER… The Lazy Boys and our classmate Jayvee joined the Amazing Race in school. We were really close to getting that trophy if it wasn’t for the “mishaps” that happened while the game is on the run. This was also the month we started calling ourselves, Omar, Steven, Lance and I, the Lazy Boys. Us, the Lazy Boys.
OCTOBER… (1) The month of cramming up and accomplishing all the tasks needed to be done before the semester ends. The month of deadlines and expenses. Well, I am just so proud of our music video, our PBB-inspired reporting, documentary on premarital sex and etc. (2) I made a Goodreads account, which is saying a lot because I really love reading books. (3) My Japanese spitz pet, Apollo, celebrated his 1st barkday ever. Arf, arf. (4) The issue between our block and one of the our professors wreaked havoc. (5) The gang and I went to Sitti’s concert in Las Piñas and hell yeah, that night is really unforgettable. WTF.
NOVEMBER… (1) I have confirmed something and it made me more angry. I went ballistic in one day of November and I seriously wished my death to happen. (2) My best friend celebrated her 18th birthday and I couldn’t be more proud of everything she has achieved this year. The speech I gave.
DECEMBER… (1) I was damn close to winning that one thing. (2) My birthday bash this year is something I wouldn’t forget for the rest of my life. I received lots of gifts! (haven’t posted anything about it yet)—
